Maybe it's simply because travel takes us away from what we already know.
We notice more. We meet people we probably wouldn't meet at home. We see different ways of living, try things for the first time, and sometimes surprise ourselves along the way.
You don't have to come home a completely different person.
Sometimes it's enough to come home with a new perspective, a new friend, a story you'll keep telling — or just a feeling that something shifted a little.
That's where MANDRA comes from.
I started organizing trips years ago because I loved discovering new places and wanted to share that feeling with other people.
Since then, thousands of people have traveled with us. We've crossed mountains, wandered through cities, driven some very long roads, watched sunrises after very early alarms, and shared more dinners than I could ever count.
And somewhere along the way, I realized that the people became just as important as the places.
Strangers became friends. Some stayed close for years. And for some, a trip together became the beginning of a life together.
That stayed with me.
So yes, we care a lot about where we go. We choose beautiful places, plan great adventures, and fill our days with things genuinely worth traveling for.
But we also keep our groups small. We leave a little room in the plan — for a longer dinner, an unexpected stop, a good conversation, or simply sitting somewhere beautiful without checking what's next.
Because sometimes those are the moments you remember most.
